Muhammad Faizan Shehzad, a Final-year undergraduate student of the Biomedical Engineering Department at UET Lahore, New Campus, has been selected for a funded research internship at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan 🇹🇼. This distinction makes him the very first student from the department to pursue international research during his undergraduate years.
This opportunity is funded by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan under the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) to bring global talent in Taiwan for various research projects.
His research project focuses on studying the “Impact of ECG leads on arrhythmia classification using NLID” at the “Human Computer Interface and Biosignal Processing Lab” in the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering.🦾🔬🧪
This achievement reflects the department’s progressive ambitions and the dedication of its faculty to encourage students to showcase their talent and knowledge not only at the national but also at the international level, while bringing back valuable insights from global research environments. 🧫🩻
